The Gunners have signed a real talent and although he isn’t the big name that everyone wanted to see, he will surely develop into a real star working under the guidance of boss Wenger.

  1. Where does the idea "escape" come from? Surely common (never mind human) rights allows anyone and everyone to choose their employer, and in football terms their choice of club.

  2. Here here Alan, although I would also like to see more investment into British (in particular English) youth as opposed to making the Spanish national team stronger. There really are some great kids in the area and with a bit more scouting applied to the local under 8s,9s,10s, etc I am certain there would be kids there with the ability to take on board new info, tekkers, philosophy, tactics, etc. Basically until Arsenal has seen every kid in Hackney play football, they have let a huge number of people, including themselves, down. Arsenal till I die!!

    1. Laurence, i think the British footballers should sort them self out! They know they are over rated but the end up believing that they are as good as the media are portraying them. A look at the u-20tournament showed all their lapses. A kid that has not learn all the basics in football is over-hyped and celebrated as the next best thing, and start commanding a transfer fee, that is equal to that of excellent players from other continent. All of a sudden, he start believing he is already as good as them, and any thing he does is also hyped by the British media. Their mistakes are only get exposed in major tournament and they never learn from it.
