.

Luis Suarez arrived in Melbourne, Australia, on Sunday lunchtime after flying in overnight from South America. The striker was given extended leave after taking part in the Confederations Cup with Uruguay last month but will now meet up with the rest of theLiverpool squad and faces showdown talks with boss Brendan Rodgers after giving several interviews where he hinted he’d like to leave Anfield this summer.
Arsenal had a £30m bid rejected for Suarez two weeks ago but the Mirror claim the clubs hierarchy have sanctioned a fresh bid and the north Londoners will go back with an improved offer in the region of £40m early next week.
According to the newspaper, boss Arsene Wenger is understood to be confident he’ll be able to lure to 26-year-old to the Emirates this summer and Suarez is expected to tell Rodgers he wants out when the pair finally meet on Monday.
