Earlier this summer it was claimed that Arsenal had struck a deal to sign another of Barcelona's highly rated young stars in Julio Plezeguelo.
It is not the first time they have raided La Masia, with Cesc Fabregas, Fran Merida, Ignasi Miquel, Hector Bellerin and Jon Toral previous examples with differing and in some cases yet to be proven levels of success.
16-year-old Plezeguelo is a defender capable of playing at right-back or centre-back, who confirmed on his Twitter page at the end of June that he was leaving Barcelona, seemingly lending credence to the reports he had struck a three-year deal with Arsenal.
When July 1 occurred and the transfer window opened, we wondered if Arsenal would confirm his signingalong with three others, Yaya Sanogo, Dan Crowley and Jamaal Raage.
Plezeguelo had remained a bit of a mystery, although everything added up that he was an Arsenal player, there was no confirmation from the club nor via his own Twitter page. Indeed on Arsenal's website a search for the name Plezeguelo 'shows no results'.
Confirmation appeared to come yesterday when he tweeted a photo of himself with Jamaal Raage, and re-tweeted a shoutout from a fan welcoming him as a new Arsenal player.
And tonight he posted for the first time, the picture fans always want to see, a photo of him with club apparel.
Not a kit, but a training tracksuit emblazoned with Arsenal's badge, should be enough to finally confirm once and for all that he has made the switch to the Gunners, and that fans can expect to see him in action soon for the under-18s or under-21s.
Not the star addition Arsenal fans want at this point, but a good prospect to help fill their youth ranks nonetheless.
